Pattex SL212 silicone is a clear, acetic silicone sealant designed for a wide range of sealing and waterproofing applications. Its fast-curing, one-component formula provides a flexible, waterproof, and weather-resistant seal for both interior and exterior use.

Common uses

- Glass installation and in general decoration and construction work.
- Repairing localized leaks in tiled roofs and walls.
How to use
- Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of oils, dirt and old cracked material.
- Cut the cartridge nozzle opening to the required shape and size.
- Place the cartridge in a cartridge gun and smoothly push the silicone material into the hole or slot.
- Smooth the surface with a wet spatula or smoothing tool during the film formation period to obtain a clean finish.
- Allow the material to harden completely — hardening time depends on the thickness of the application and surrounding conditions.
Warnings and precautions
- Acetic acid (a vinegar smell) is released during processing, so use in a well-ventilated area.
- Avoid contact with eyes and skin; in case of contact, wash immediately with water and seek medical help if necessary.
- Use on mirrors (may damage the back of the mirror), in aquariums, or on certain types of sensitive plastics or non-corrosive metals is not recommended without prior testing.
- Not paintable after hardening. Perform a small test on sensitive materials before use.
